What you’ll be responsible for

As River Quality Liaison Manager you will:

  1. Lead on liaison with various river stakeholder groups and NGOs to promote DCWW activities and develop joint initiatives and solutions to tackle river water quality.
  2. Foster strong relationships and engage with key external stakeholders to protect and enhance the environmental reputation of Dŵr Cymru. 
  3. Establish local partnership working groups within DCWW river catchments; bringing together a range of interested internal & external stakeholders.
  4. The post holder shall be a vital link between communities and political decision makers across the Catchment, in line with SMNR and DWMP principles and Wellbeing of Future Generation act duties.
  5. Develop strong relationships with operational teams, operating and maintaining assets in your area and be able to speak on their behalf with customers and stakeholders, being able to translate the technical issues of wastewater operations to members of the public.
  6. Represent the views and requirements of the assets within your area in the building of the business case for DCWW AMP8 (WI)NEP.

•    Farming Organisations/ Unions
•    River user groups, / pressure groups

About you

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills 

  • A degree level qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant environmental subject.
  • Experience delivering within a partnering environment 
  • Have the ability to develop positive working relationships and to be seen as a highly credible representative of the business.
  • Achievement Motivation – The drive and energy to produce excellent results and to continually find ways of improving relationships, outputs and processes.
  • Adaptability –The ability to maintain effectiveness with changing environments, tasks, responsibilities, or people. The ability to modify one’s approach or style in order to reach a goal.
