Offer Description
The project aims to understand, design and effectively address the risks that climate change pose for the microbial quality of water and the prevalence of waterborne diarrheal diseases through a multidisciplinary approach. The project will focus on four index diarrheal pathogens (i.e. Rotavirus, Campylobacter, Giardia and Cryptosporidium) using three hospitals as case studies, one of which is pediatric and two for adults, as well as the World Health Organization Collaborating Center (CC WHO ITA- 116) dedicated to the diagnosis of intestinal parasites in migrants. Furthermore, water coming from wastewater treatment plants and water supply systems will be analysed.

Eligibility criteria
The selection will be carried out through evaluation of the candidates’ qualifications and interview. The overall score available in the evaluation is 100 points, of which 70 points for the qualifications, and 30 points for the interview.

The 70 points for qualifications are up to:
-10 points for the PhD
-15 points for further university qualifications;
-40 points for scientific publications;
