The Opportunity

The main purpose of the job is to implement emergency activities of “Lifesaving Response to unaddressed the Nutrition and displacement needs in Amhara Region Raya Kobo Woreda” project. The overall objective of this integrated project is to reduce malnutrition through provision of multi-sectoral & integrated services for the drought & conflict-affected communities in Raya Kobo district of Amhara Region. The project will focus on the intermediate objectives of each sectoral intervention embedding in the cause-effect intersection of Nutrition, Health, WASH and Agriculture. The project will seek to improve the WASH service, enhance agricultural production &improve the nutrition/health status of the beneficiaries.

The Individual

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Water Supply, and Environmental Engineering, and related disciplines 
  • Minimum 3 years of total experience of which experience in the WASH sector and experience in emergency WASH is advantageous.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensures that all staff signed safeguarding policies;
  • Implement Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
