Offer Description
The research project proposes a study for the valorisation of the landscape of the reclamation of the
low Friulian and Isonzo plain through art, with the aim of promoting a “new reuse” (temporary/permanent and tourist/artistic) alternative and collaborative with agriculture and the entire hydraulic heritage of the reclamation for new forms of usability of the “rural colonies”. The strategy proposed to be used and tested will therefore be art as a sort of “second reclamation land”. In fact, the research will propose an architectural and landscape reconversion into colonies of art of the existing and now abandoned and disused artefacts of the reclamation.
It will be a significant selection, aimed at the “places of Zigaina and Pasolini”, thus limited to those “landscapes towards the lagoon” as defined by Zigaina. The selection of the pilot cases will also be
functional in revealing the physical and cultural matrices of this landscape, which manifests itself between water and agriculture, and which the research aims to show, “staging it” according to anartistic-landscape approach that will allow it to operate in the terms of the artialisation of the landscape.
The research will be operational, thus proposing not only studies and cognitive investigations, but also a project or projects with an architectural and landscape definition that will allow a direct spendability.
