  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $120,859 to $133,183 + super

Our Northern Basin Connectivity Team is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer to support the delivery of the Northern Basin Connectivity Program. This is a priority Program that is working to improve hydrological connectivity across the northern NSW Murray Darling Basin to provide for critical downstream needs.

About you

You have keen desire to make a difference through the work you do.

To be successful in the role you will be:

  • an experienced project or program manager, with a track record of achieving project outcomes are achieved on time, to budget and to the required standards
  • a confident communicator with effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships
  • adept in managing consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests
  • proficient in undertaking research and analysis to inform evidenced-based decision making and recommendations
  • experienced in preparing effective briefing materials for Minister and Executive on project status, key issues and risks.

You will also have experience in water related areas such as water planning, natural resource management, agriculture, environmental science or a relevant field.

Note that the role will require some travel, including overnight stays.
