IFC aims to support ContourGlobal Hydro Cascade CJSC (CGHC) and Vorotan Cascade Project in carrying out a comprehensive climate risk assessment and adaptation plan to improve operational performance and resilience. IFC is looking for an experienced consultant (firm or consortium) to: (i) undertake comprehensive climate risk assessment (social and physical) of Vorotan Cascade; and (ii) provide recommendations on climate resilience interventions that could enhance the Projects’ performance and reduce community and environment vulnerabilities to climate hazards; while avoiding maladaptation for the communities and environment. The support will be based on the Hydropower Sector Climate Resilience Guide developed by the International Hydropower Association (IHA); which provides a practical approach for identifying; assessing and managing climate risks to enhance the climate change resilience of new and existing hydropower projects.
