Remote sensing observations have reached a level of accuracy and spatial-temporal resolution suitable for their exploitation in hydrological applications. The research activity of the cadnidate will address the exploitation of different satellite products/measurements (e.g., soil moisture, precipitation, evaporation, water storage) for different operational and research applications including flood and landslide prediction, irrigation estimation, and water resources management. The candidate, in agreement with the supervisor, will be free to select among the different research activities mentioned above. The candidate activity will be integrated in the research projects and studies carried out in the IRPI-Hydrology lab in friendly environment characterized by strong mutual collaborative and exchanges.
