Your role:
We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer for our Dams and Hydropower (Energy) team to be based in Edinburgh , joining our 2025 Graduate Programme.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your civil engineering expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. The Civil Engineering (Energy sector) team’s work covers all aspects, from feasibility studies through to concept and detailed design, as well as site support during construction.
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in developing their skills across the water-based natural environment, including hydrology, river and reservoir flood modelling and system hydraulics. You will also be provided with the chance to build a wider skillset based on your degree and subject of interest.
The Energy and Resources team are focused around four main sectors, as follows:
- Water Power & Dams – new build / refurbishment of hydro power stations, Dam inspections
- Waste & Generation–energy from waste plants, hydrogen systems
- Transmission & Distribution – HV electrical power system, sub stations, overhead lines.
- Minerals and Resources – work for quarries and landfill assets
