Role Overview: As a Project Coordinator at PRIDE India, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of PRIDE India’s thematic interventions across health care, child-centric development, education, economic empowerment, disaster relief, and more. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and community stakeholders to foster sustainable change and empower marginalized communities to lead lives filled with dignity and self-respect.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation Support:
• Assist Senior Program Managers in the execution of various projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to facilitate smooth implementation of activities and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying challenges and supporting in the implementation of corrective measures.
• Engage with community members and leaders to ensure projects meet local needs and gain community support.
• Facilitate community meetings and feedback sessions.
School Infrastructure Development:
• Develop and implement detailed project plans for school infrastructure and sanitation projects.
• Oversee the construction and renovation of school buildings and facilities.
• Ensure that all infrastructure projects meet the required educational and safety standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Sanitation Projects:
• Plan and execute sanitation initiatives to improve hygiene and health in schools and communities.
• Implement innovative and sustainable sanitation solutions.
Water Conservation Structures:
• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water conservation structures, including check dams, ponds, and water harvesting systems.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify suitable locations for water conservation projects.
• Collaborate with hydrologists and other experts to ensure effective water management solutions.
Environmental Conservation:
• Integrate environmental conservation practices into all infrastructure projects.
• Promote sustainable construction practices.
Data Management and Reporting:
• Collect, compile, and analyze data on project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
• Prepare regular progress reports, updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting in alignment with donor requirements and organizational standards.
• Monitor project progress and performance.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects comply with local regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
• Facilitate communication and coordination among project teams, partners, and beneficiaries.
• Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for project objectives.
• Respond to inquiries and requests for information related to project activities and outcomes.
Capacity Building and Training:
• Support in the organization and delivery of capacity-building initiatives, workshops, and training sessions for project staff and beneficiaries.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance to project teams on relevant topics and areas of expertise.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects.
• Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of completed projects
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL):
• Assist in the implementation of MEL frameworks and tools to assess project impact and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the collection of data for evaluations, assessments, and lessons learned exercises.
• Participate in reflection sessions to identify best practices, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.
Other Duties:
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the Reporting Manager, ensuring alignment with the organizational objectives and vision, thereby contributing to the overall mission of the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in project coordination, particularly in infrastructure and sanitation projects.
• Strong understanding of construction management and engineering principles.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with marginalized communities is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region and work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
