Who will you report to?

The position is located at the Volvo Car Kosice plant and the main reporting line leads to Environmental Manager.

What will you do?

  • Oversee and optimize the use of energy and water resources;
  • Securing the environment in early phases of a project/change, e.g. prescriptions and KPIs related to energy and water management;  
  • Participate in energy and water mapping;
  • Follow up and analyze energy and water consumption statistics; Review and provide input for efficiency roadmap, scorecards and masterplan;
  • Develop and implement strategies for energy efficiency and water conservation;
  • Identifying and assessing activities that can cause an environmental emergency; Securing coordination and needed actions in case of an environmental accident including reporting.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Collaborate with the Global Environmental team to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations;
  • Contributing to the fulfillment of company and site environmental targets;
  • Promote programs that encourage the use of renewable energy and resource conservation;
  • Educate and train colleagues on environmental policies and best practices.

What will you bring?

  • Several years of previous working experience in energy and water management within an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably in an international company;
  • Preferred university education in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field and/or work experience;
  • Strong understanding of local and international environmental regulations;
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001;
  • Demonstrate flexibility, being able to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project;
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and technical mindset;
  • Experience with project management, knowledge about process/facility equipment;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, conversational in English, written and spoken, and proficient in Slovak language; 
  • Not only an individual contributor attitude but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 2.250 EUR.

* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company’s financial results and individual performance.
