Position Summary:

The Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Prevention Network Local Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for providing AIS
services to stakeholders in their defined region. These services generally include any AIS prevention, monitoring, and control
programs promoted by the Wisconsin DNR, Wisconsin Sea Grant (WISG), and UW-Madison Division of Extension (UWEX).
The Coordinator is expected to build relationships within their service areas to implement AIS existing programs while working
across service areas with other Coordinators to develop new programs and achieve statewide AIS objectives. This position
reports to the Wisconsin Sea Grant Aquatic Invasive Species Outreach Leader and works closely with WISG outreach and
communications staff, DNR AIS staff, and UWEX AIS staff.

This position is anticipated to be a half-time position, with the possibility for up to full-time employment depending on additional grant funding. This position will work out of the Kenosha County - UWEX located in Bristol, Wisconsin, or other mutually agreeable location within the service area. The service area covers Kenosha, Racine, and Milwaukee Counties.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or Communications required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Two years relevant experience (which can include school/internships) required.
