Resident Engineer, Sewerage Network
The project involves the provision of first time sanitation coverage and wastewater treatment in the Delta governorate of Kafr el Sheikh. The Project comprises two Phases I and II, which technically involve the construction of 3 new WWTPs, the expansion of 3 existing WWTPs, and the laying of some additional 700 km of sewers with the installation of pump stations in the target priority districts of Kafr El Sheikh governorate. Phase II is currently on-going with the formulation and tendering of all contract packages (works and services) in Motobas, Desouq, Sidi Salem, Al Riyadh, and Burullus districts.
The consulting services will be provided in distinct contract packages comprising groups of sanitation infrastructure projects in the same or different districts. The services shall include the provision of integrated construction supervision and contract administration services to the Contracting Authority so that it (a) fulfills its obligations as the ‘Client’ as these emanating from the works contracts (related to sewer networks and associated pumping stations and WWTP sanitation projects) in each target district (Motobas, Desouq, Sidi Salem, Al Riyadh, and Burullus) and (b) fulfills its obligations as the ‘Beneficiary’ under the Financing Agreement. The exact technical scope under each Services contract package will be defined in the respective Request for Proposals. It is expected that any Consultant may provide the Services for any contract package, subject to satisfactory performance, and that more than one Consultant may be appointed by the Contracting Authority.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Professional experience required
Must have a minimum of 20 years overall experience
Minimum 15 years of on-site experience in supervision/construction of wastewater treatment plants for at least secondary treatment.
Experience as FIDIC RED Book Engineer/Resident Engineer in minimum 2 successfully implemented projects for supervision of construction of sewerage network and pumping stations.
Experience in developing countries in water/wastewater sector will be an advantage.
Good command of written and spoken English.
