About the Role:
Help manage the most significant river system in Australia.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Operations Officer in Water Infrastructure and Operations Branch. The Senior Operations Officer is responsible for a range of strategic and operational duties that support the sustainable management of South Australia’s River Murray in a changing climate. This multidisciplinary role works with environmental water managers, river infrastructure operators, Murray-Darling Basin jurisdictions and other stakeholders to guide river operations and water resource management in South Australia to meet the needs of water users, the community and the environment, including objectives of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.

Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties
- Will be required to travel to remote and isolated locations which may require overnight stays
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential
- A current First Aid Certificate is essential.
Remuneration:
ASO6 $97,022 min – $102,626 max p.a.
