Working with your senior officer across both our Brisbane and Rocklea sites, this opportunity offers a mix of field operations and office tasks, as well as the sharing your technical knowledge and skills to develop the competencies of the team you work with. A key focus of the role will be to operate and maintain the monitoring networks with a particular focus on surface and ground water, including collecting and processing hydrometric data, collecting water samples, and conducting stream flow measurements. Being hands-on, you will assist with the installation, maintenance and calibration and repair of technical equipment and assets, including the compute, process, store, and manipulation of water data as part of participating in medium-term water projects.
This role offers you the chance to grow and maintain your knowledge with in-house and external training in the principles of water monitoring and associated technology, whilst working within an amazing, safety-first team with exposure to other water functional groups, managers, department staff and clients.
