About the role

The Legislative Assembly is seeking a Research Officer to work as part of a small team supporting the Environment and Planning Committee. The role of the Committee is to inquire into and report on any proposal, matter or thing connected with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and related agencies. The Research Officer will provide high-level research support on the Committee’s current inquiry into environmental infrastructure for growing populations.

This is a full-time fixed term position to 30 July 2021

About You

The successful candidate will need to have excellent research and writing skills; highly-developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal, communication and team work skills; and well-developed organisational and computer skills. You must also have the ability to work with minimal supervision and complete complex research tasks subject to time constraints, plus be able to deal with the challenge of working in an all-party political environment.
