About the role
We are currently recruiting to a newly created Leader, Water Policy and Planning. Reporting to the Group Director Agricultural resources you will be responsible for leading a state-wide research and development team of land management practices regarding water management issues and providing strategic guidance to support sustainable and profitable agricultural industries.
You will maintain and provide expertise in agricultural hydrology, focusing on both rain fed and irrigated farming systems as well as preparing and publishing research reports and scientific publications regularly in peer reviewed journals to ensure high scientific standards
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree or post-graduate qualifications in agriculture or science based disciplines
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability and willingness to travel, including to remote locations
