This position is in the Operations Unit of the Well Management Section, which implements Minnesota statutes and rules pertaining to well and boring construction, maintenance, and sealing to assure that public health and groundwater resources are protected.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
Travel to Saint Paul and other meeting locations is anticipated. The location of this position is dependent on the Minnesota candidate filling this role, with telework options considered.
Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, hydrology, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental science, environmental health, or a closely related field.
Two years of professional experience within a combination of the following areas: conducting or overseeing construction or sealing of wells and borings; interpreting well record, groundwater level, or groundwater quality data; geologic mapping; or groundwater investigations.
Licensed with the AELSLAGID Board as a professional geologist or a professional engineer
OR the ability to obtain license within the six-month probationary period.
