This may include site visits during review and construction. It may also include coordination with DOEE’s Inspection and Enforcement Division, the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, DC Water, and the District Department of Transportation.

The incumbent will be part of a team of reviewers conducting similar reviews and will collaborate with these other reviewers to ensure review consistency, develop and update guidance materials, share best practices, develop and implement business process improvements, provide timely and predictable reviews to customers, and otherwise ensure that projects being reviewed comply with District laws to protect the environment.   The incumbent may also develop or contribute to guidance documents and training materials, as well as the presentation of these materials. The incumbent may also contribute to initiatives to develop or revise agency regulations and coordinate with other relevant programs to ensure coordinated and effective implementation. Other typical responsibilities may include reviewing Environmental Impact Screening Forms, Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments and geotechnical reports.
