Assignment Title: 1271838 - Mapping the career of the Sahelian groundwater experts

The Consultancy will map the career of Sahelian nationals who completed their groundwater studies abroad during the last 15 to 20 years and analyze the enabling factors and socioeconomic conditions required to allow young male and female professionals to secure work in the groundwater sector in the Sahel.
Through semi-structured interviews of groundwater specialists coming from all 6 countries that are part of the scope, associated with a deep literature and document review, the activities under this assignment will map the career of the Sahelian nationals both at the individual and the structural and institutional levels. The Consultant will conduct: (i) an analysis of the various existing training and educational offers in the Sahelian countries, (ii) an analysis of opportunities in regional cooperation, and (iii) an analysis of the role and consequences of international expertise and development projects on the trajectory and professional mobility of Sahelian hydrogeologists.
The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following:

- Cooperation in International Waters in Africa (CIWA) Multi Donor Trust Fund

The consultant will be a firm.
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.
Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted
