Are you motivated by the opportunity to influence and improve the environmental performance of water companies? This opportunity may be for you.
Water companies’ environmental performance is currently the subject of intense public and political scrutiny. This is an exciting time to join our team, working agilely with others to regulate. You will play a crucial part in informing stakeholders to take action. You will help increase the effectiveness of our communications to protect and improve the environment for people and wildlife.
We will increase the influence we have with accurate, timely and engaging performance reporting, and improve the understanding of performance by advising on trends and root causes. Your communication skills will engage stakeholders using presentation, data, information and intelligence to maximise influence.
We are looking for an independent thinker to shape and add value in performance assessment and communication. You’ll work in a virtual national team in a fast-paced role. You’ll need to innovate and understand stakeholders’ perspectives, whilst also having remote team working skills. You will be instrumental in developing new metrics and implement them within the business and sector.
This is a dynamic work area so you will need to think strategically, act pragmatically and influence others to drive forward our objectives and meet goals. You’ll work across various teams covering multiple aspects of water company performance including water, waste, pollution incidents, permit compliance and investment schemes.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role or provide business continuity support during an incident

  • A degree in an environmental discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of water companies and their data/ performance
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to present information effectively
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – able to identify your audience, understand needs, and use an engaging style of communication
