About the job
This role’s success is measured by key accountabilities:
– Develop strategic frameworks for strategy delivery, ensuring community input and coordination with concurrent programs.
– Lead consultation with stakeholders and partners.
– Develop integrated water management strategies for various regions across South Australia, integrating technical outputs and community inputs.
– Lead strategy implementation plans and monitoring programs.
– Drive collaboration within the team and coach members for professional development.
– Maintain administrative practices and ensure safety measures are implemented.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Essential:
– Hold relevant strategy, science, engineering or related qualifications and/or industry knowledge, and understanding of relevant technical, regulatory and policy requirements.
– Highly developed strategic and analytical skills and demonstrated capacity to successfully manage assessment and resolution of complex issues across multiple stakeholders and organisations.
– Highly developed organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and multi-task.
– Excellent stakeholder management skills, including a demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders, effect long lasting relationships, and drive mutually acceptable outcomes.
– Ability to draw high quality conclusions and to make strategic and policy recommendations on the basis of data analysis, research and engagement.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
Desirable:
– An understanding of the SA water sector, water resource management, policy development processes and strategic planning processes.
– High level of negotiation skills to resolve complex issues with numerous stakeholders
