This position will assist with or lead operating, monitoring and maintenance activities related to the canal system, pumping plants and groundwater banking facilities.
All applicants must possess a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and a valid California Class C driver license. A valid California Class B or higher driver license with a tank vehicle endorsement and without manual transmission restrictions, air brake restrictions and tank vehicle restrictions is required within two (2) years of hire for the I level and within one (1) year of hire for the II level.
No experience is required for the I level. One (1) year operating, maintaining and repairing the Cross Valley Canal, pumping plants and groundwater banking facilities is required for the II level.
