Role
We are looking for a Junior Water Consultant in Spain to continue developing our capacity in the water sector. The objective of this position is to support the development of new and dynamic business in the water sector in Spain and to achieve positive results for clients. The role includes supporting the delivery of planning projects and the design of water projects.
The selected person will be part of the Civil & Geotechnical team in the Madrid office. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic junior consultant to support water projects across the sector, including business cases, resilience and climate change adaptation projects, and calculation and design projects for networks and hydraulic systems.
They will interact with and advise other engineers, specialists, managers, and clients. They are expected to support project delivery, bids, and client relationship management.
The main tasks they will participate in include:
- Providing advisory reports to clients on water-related issues; for example, water allocations, water consumption in industrial settings, sale of water assets (sewage treatment plants, sewer networks, etc.)
- Coordinating with counterpart teams in other company offices outside of Spain
- Experience in urban-scale infrastructure and climate change adaptation
Minimum requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering / Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering
- At least 1 year of experience in water-related consulting
- Basic knowledge of water process lines and treatment
- Communication and interpersonal skills (including presentation skills, written communication, and reporting)
- Very high level of English and Spanish, at least C1
- Proficiency in GIS software
Assessable requirements
- Software for calculating water networks under pressure and gravity
- Enthusiasm for a career in the water sector, based on an understanding of our industry and work
- A proactive and organized approach and the ability to plan ahead to ensure deadlines are met
