Job description
This role is an exciting opportunity to be at the centre of the Environment Agency’s work to protect and improve England’s water quality.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our growing team responsible for delivering our Water Industry Regulation digital transformation program. In this role, you will support programme leads, coordinate multiple workstreams, track progress, manage workstream documentation and communication, and foster seamless collaboration across departments to support the creation of new digital regulatory tools.

The team
You’ll be part of the Digital Innovation and Regulation Team in Water Industry Regulation (WR) which is part of the Environment and Business Directorate. It has a strong focus on the regulation of the water industry in England.
You will work closely with the wider water quality team and colleagues across the Environment Agency, collaborating with and providing support to them.
Experience/skills required
Experience in project management to develop and maintain project plans.
Expertise in utilising project management tools for progress tracking, risk management, and ensuring adherence to timelines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to facilitate cross-departmental teamwork and keep stakeholders informed.
The ability to orchestrate meetings, capture key decisions, and ensure seamless workstream flow.
Experience in water industry regulation, digital projects and data management would be beneficial.

The WIR Digital Regulation team is a dispersed national team. The location for this role is flexible. You should be comfortable with remote working and management and proficient in the use of virtual communication tools. Some national travel will be required to attend meetings and other events.
