Position Description:
The Water Supply Solar System Technician is responsible for installing the solar water supply systems at sites; and also he is responsible for regular supervision of all solar water supply systems according to the given plan. The Water Supply Solar System Technician trains the other members of the team, the pipe scheme operator, and the relevant community member to resolve minor technical problems in the solar system at proposed sites
Responsibilities:
Conduct proper Earthing system or Grounding system for the safety and functional purposes, this should be considered during the installation of solar water supply systems.Proper installation of the solar water supply system (solar panel arrays on the roofs and inside the boundary walls), and proper connection with the submersible water pump and inverter to provide the demanded water, the technician will strictly follow this. Perform timely maintenance and repair of the solar water supply system (submersible water pump, Inverter, etc.). Perform on-time troubleshooting of the solar water supply systems through the usage of relevant testing devices and instruments to ensure technical problems are resolved.Follow all electrical components of the solar water supply system and should operate properly and also the cable joints are properly done. Requesting of the solar PV equipment and other required materials needed for each water supply solar system, coordinated with the relevant officers at regions and Main Office levels.Follow all principles and technical standards in solar water supply system installation, and also follow the environmental, health, and safety-related issues at the fields. Maintain proper records of each solar water supply system, the record should consist of information such as the date and time of the last maintenance, replacement of the parts (if replaced), detail of the work he/she has done during the last maintenance process, and the cost involved. Check and make sure the solar powered water supply system provides the demanded water after the handover of the system to the concerned community.Train the solar system operator properly and he can do minor repairs to the solar water supply system after the handover of the system to the relevant community. The holder of this position must strictly follow the organization’s existing security policies, procedures, and daily instructions of the safety personnel.Any other task given by the Supervisor.
Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits
Education:14th class graduate/bachelor degree holder from (Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy ) is preferred
Experience: At least three years’ relevant experience in Water Supply Solar System installation and repairing projects is required.
Other qualifications’ an advantage: Good communication, good community work, honesty and hard worker,
Languages:Oral and written fluency in (English, Dari, Pashto)
