Although the emphasis of Haritika’s work is at the individual village level, sustaining the work of the organization depends on an environment that permits the underprivileged to break their cycle of poverty and helplessness. Since past 30 years, Haritika has been working across many thematic areas of development, such as Sustainable Livelihoods Development, Women Empowerment, Natural Resource Management, and Climate Resilient Practices.
About Position:
Haritika is hiring for Senior Civil Engineer cum Project Coordinator at Chhatarpur, with frequent travel to Panna and Damoh to work on the Integrated Watershed Development Project. Job role and responsibilities of Senior Civil Engineer cum Project Coordinator are mentioned below:
(1). Lead co-design and implementation of Agro-ecology/Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects that combine social and environmental change for the benefit of smallholder farmers.
(2). Coordinate project participants and activities in the long run, by being part of project governance, anticipating opportunities and risks, monitoring and achieving results over the whole project lifetime.
(3). Understand and manage points of view and jargons from different actors (business, technical, academic, investors, public, etc..) to propose smart, practical action plans that create an alignment of all stakeholders.
(4). Bring expertise on hands-on Natural Resource Management (such as GIS-based planning, hydrogeology, Ridge to Valley concept, agro-forestry, etc.) to our colleagues and partners and help adapt these to the local context of the projects.
(5). Scout for new project opportunities, in line with our values, and be able to deliver real, measurable transformation in the natural landscapes that poor communities rely upon for their livelihoods.
(6). Work closely with the Impact team to monitor and evaluate project’s impact, which includes MIS documentation, writing project proposal, Annual report and fund raising will be added advantage for the candidate with CSR managers from corporate and charity.
Education Qualification & Skills:
(1). BE/ME in Civil Engineering with five years of experience working in development Sector,
(2). Candidate must have the knowledge of GIS-based planning, hydrogeology, preparation of Detail Project Reports as per Ridge to Valley concept,
(2). Candidate must have excellent English documentation skills to write project proposals with design, drawing of soil & water conservation, and Storage calculation, as per Area Capacity Table measures,
(3). Candidate must be a passionate, experienced, and result-driven professional with a strong background and first-hand field experience, and excellent documentation skills in various NRM practices.
Location: He/She will be based at Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, with frequent travel in project location in UP, MP and Maharashtra.
Salary: From 7.20 Per annum to 9.60 per annum (based on the proven expertise and previous salary history)
