OFFER DESCRIPTION
In the context of global environmental change, one of the greatest challenges of our times is to identify and preserve existing Ecosystem Services (ES) and Good Environmental Status (GES). The data will be acquired by in situ sensors (temperature, pH, light) coupled with discrete water samples (salinity, carbonate system- total alkalinity, pCO2, saturation states of aragonite and calcite) and field ecological surveys with underwater images and visual censuses for benthos and pelagic-fish communities in coastal areas. To this end, the candidate should participate in field surveys to collect physico-chemical parameters and ecological data, analyze the data, and assess them in the context of biodiversity, resilience, and adaptation. It is also planned to write a report about the effects of ocean acidification and marine ecosystems.
