ICF’s Regulatory, Economics, Environment, and Energy (R3E) line of Business provides government clients with research, analysis, technical assistance, and implementation support. Our projects span a wide range of size, duration, and scope.  Projects range from assessing the economic and technical implications of proposed energy or economic policy in a matter of days or weeks to running major environmental laboratory facilities and training programs over multiple years.

ICF is seeking Water Resources Management Engineers and Specialists. Our experience crosses international borders, and our wide-ranging skills include environmental impact assessment, system operation modeling, conservation analysis, and working with diverse stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing…

ICF’s policy experts understand the impacts of regulatory change, including the U.S. federal role in water resource management, flood control, ecosystem restoration, water supply and conservation, and water efficiency. In the field, our biologists, engineers, hydrologists, and climate change experts are supported by in-depth knowledge of regulatory developments and how these can help or hinder individual projects.

  • Plan and design storm water projects

  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models and use them to develop solutions to client problems

  • Prepare storm water Pollution Prevention Plans, Site Compliance Evaluations, Storm water Management Plans, Storm water Master Plans, design drawings, specifications, and bid documents

Qualifications

What you’ll need to have…

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field

  • 5+ years related work experience

  • The ability to present complex technical and regulatory information in a concise and easily understood format both written and verbally

  • The ability to analyze a situation, identify problem area(s), propose solutions and assist in implementation of those solutions

  • The ability to work effectively with individuals and groups, both internally and externally; ability to maintain a customer service orientation through interactions with clients, consultants, agency staff and other individuals

  • The ability to independently gather appropriate information from documents or through content knowledge experts to support the decision-making process

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
