OPEN POSITION
We are actively seeking a Research Analyst to be based in Hong Kong

Key responsibilities:
- Conduct research on water risks & solutions across key sectors such as Energy, Mining, Transportation, ICT, Electronics, Fashion, Agriculture, Food & Beverage, and so on;
- Work closely with the CWR team to support ongoing projects and initiatives – including freshwater & coastal climate risk assessments for corporates & investors;
- Contribute to the management, content and editing of CWR’s monthly flagship newsletter which has high-level global reach among the financial sector, industry leaders, scientists, academia and NGOs;
- Contribute to the content update of the CWR website – a global go-to resource for water risks;
- Follow, review & summarize latest policy developments on environmental and water issues in China; and
- Assist in managing and coordinate CWR projects in mainland China & elsewhere including:
o Coordinating research efforts with local think tanks & NGOs
o Developing collaborative projects with CWR partners
o Expanding CWR’s network.
Requirements:
- Be passionate about environmental issues;
- Think you can make a difference;
- A Master degree, or equivalent in Environmental Science, Hydrology, Engineering, Political Science, Economics, Communication or related fields:
o water-related thesis, journal article or publication preferred
o coastal threats focused research preferred
- General knowledge of environmental issues as well as regulations and policies in China;
- Ability to multi-task on different projects and initiatives & be a team player;
- Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize complex information into a coherent and accurate presentation under strict deadlines;
- Editorial & savvy social media skills;
- Excellent computer skills including experience with data analysis & modeling; and
- Excellent communication skills – oral & written – in English and Mandarin.
Conditions: The remuneration will be determined based on candidate skills & experience.
