ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

Objective

The objective of this consultancy assignment is to conduct a pollution diagnosis of the Black Sea, covering the national and regional levels. The diagnostics will first focus on country level analyses of pollution from Georgia, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine affecting the Black Sea, which will be presented in respective Pollution Background papers. Based on these pollution background papers a synthesis report, presenting a diagnostic of the Black Sea Pollution will be developed.

Approach and Methodology

Four main principles at the core of the BBSEA ASA are as follows:
Consolidating the foundations for regional cooperation
Applying a differentiated approach at national and regional levels.
Enhancing the social cohesion
Pursuing active transmission of knowledge

The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following:

- 2.1.-ECA-Pollution Prevention in the Black Sea

The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services.
