The successful candidate will contribute to research aimed at understanding and quantifying the effects of land use and land cover changes on the hydro-geomorphology of channel networks in nival regimes at a wide range of spatial scales. The candidate must have demonstrated strengths in field work and quantitative analyses. Experience with methodologies for quantifying and mapping bedload transport of coarse sediment will be considered an asset.

The study sites are located in the interior of British Columbia, Canada. The interior of British Columbia region offers many exceptional recreational opportunities including hiking, climbing, hot springs, canoeing, horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking, and wildlife watching all within close proximity to the study sites.

Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication skills and with demonstrated abilities to publish in international sciencejournals. Only candidates who hold a PhD degree at the time of appointment can be considered for this position.
