Postdoctoral Fellowship in Wastewater Treatment and Water Reuse
Area of knowledge: Sanitary Engineering
Area of Expertise: Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment
Number of Vacancies: 1
Department/Institution: School of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Design-University of Campinas
The National Institute of Advanced Analytical Sciences and Technologies (INCTAA) is offering a postdoctoral fellowship in the research line related to advanced techniques for water and wastewater treatment. More specifically the application of advanced oxidation processes, adsorption processes, and membranes in the removal of compounds of emerging concern from aqueous samples. The project is supervised by Prof. Ph.D. José Roberto Guimarães and aims the combination of several advanced treatment processes to produce reuse water, at bench level, and in a pilot station, using compounds of emerging concern as model molecules.
The candidates must have recently completed their Ph.D. in Chemistry or related areas and have proven experience in advanced techniques applied to water treatment, reactor assembly, and liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The candidate must have good written and oral communication in English. The candidate must have recent publications in specialized journals of quality and high impact. The selected candidate must have immediate availability to reside in Campinas.
The selected candidate will have a postdoctoral fellowship from FAPESP (www.fapesp.br/270) in the monthly amount of R$ 7,373.10 for 12 months. Applications must be made through the e-mail email@example.com to the supervisor Prof. Ph.D. José Roberto Guimarães until 26/November/2020. The following documents should be attached to the e-mail:
1) Curriculum vitae containing academic training, publications, and information about the scientific experience that fit the project (maximum of 4 pages).
2) Letter from the candidate justifying the interest in the vacancy (maximum of 200 words).
3) Two letters of recommendation
