About the opportunity:
At Jacobs, we’re transforming intangible ideas into innovative solutions designing the future - today. As an Entry Level Hydraulic Modeller based in our Bristol office, you will too. Jacobs has long term contracts with public and private sector clients with a stake in the Water Environment and we want to grow our team to meet the ever-increasing demand within this sector. We are looking for enthusiastic, broad minded and flexible staff to join this highly successfully team.
Water is a natural asset that we need to manage sensitively. Climate change is influencing the availability and quality of this natural asset and much of the work that we undertake for our Clients is finding innovative solutions to balance the human / business need, with the long-term environmental impact.
The successful person will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects both local and internationally. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of Water and Environmental Engineers, Modellers and Scientists, providing support and advice to a wide range of clients. There will be opportunities to experience different roles within the Jacobs team aimed at developing your career.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng in Geography, Mathematics, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar
Flexibility to travel for work
A commitment to the pursuit of becoming a chartered professional and continuous professional development (CPD)
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
Demonstrated interest in working in the field of water environment and sustainability and desire to apply your skills to the challenges the water environment faces
Proven communication skills; both verbally and written
Ability to work well in a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Full driving licence
