KPMG is looking for experienced international development professionals for potential short and long term assignments across our two regional clusters in Africa (East Africa - DRC, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda and West Africa - Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone).
We are looking for experienced consultants in the following sectors:
Climate change, natural resource management, resilience and sustainability – particularly designand implementation of programmes in climate adaptation, building climate resilience, biodiversity,green economy strategies, green finance, transboundary climate and environmental management, weather & climate information;
Sustainable and renewable energy expertise - low carbon development, renewable energy technologies, energy governance and monitoring, renewal energy project development and financing;
Education - including education programme management, girls education and empowerment, early childhood development and education planning, education systems and institutional reform, education planning & budgeting, education economist, and related skills;
Water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) - including WASH programme management, WASH institutional reform, rural and urban WASH systems implementation, and related skills;
Governance and accountability - including public finance, decentralisation, public administration, public policy and practice, land reform and related skills;
Market Access - particularily trade, investments, import and export;
Social inclusion - including gender, equity, disability and social inclusion.
The ideal candidates must have demonstrable success in designing, implementing or managing large-scale, complex programmes in Sub Saharan Africa. Experience with bilateral and multilateral donors including FCDO, USAID, World Bank, AfDB, UN and EU would be advantageous.
Candidates should have at least 10 years relevant experience as well as a postgraduate degree and/or professional qualification. Experience in Africa will be highly considered.
