The international consultancy s.Pro – sustainable projects based in Berlin is seeking a highly motivated new full-time staff member in the field of the development and management of EU-funded projects.

Who are we?

s.Pro sustainable projects is a consultancy specialised in transnational cooperation projects funded by the European Union and other funding institutions. It initiates, prepares, manages and follows–up on transnational projects and studies in the sphere of the development of a sustainable blue economy. Among others, s.Pro manages the secretariat of the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth; the coordination and communication platform for more than 35 public and private actors across the Baltic Sea Region involved in innovative and sustainable uses of marine resources. Our topics span over a wide area: from supporting new forms of mariculture (e.g. algae & mussel cultivation); multi-use; ocean literacy; maritime spatial planning; assistance to start-ups up, to raising consumer awareness and product uptake. Our activities focus mainly around internal and external project coordination and communication – including website management, preparation of policy briefs, fact sheets, articles and other communication material; workshop and conference preparation and facilitation, development of proposals as well as writing administrative and content reports.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a new project manager to complement our management team based in Berlin that deals with the development and implementation of transnational EU funded projects (Interreg, Horizon, BBI-JU programmes) as well as direct assignments from the European Commission and other international bodies. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has already gained several years of professional experience in developing and managing EU-funded projects and other assignments (e.g. studies). Background knowledge and/or experience in working with marine topics and especially science-business-policy communication is regarded as a key asset.
