WaterAid is looking for a Direct Marketing Officer (Community Engagement) to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.
Working within the Community, Events and Education team, the Direct Marketing Officer (Community Engagement) will be responsible for marketing and appeals activity within WaterAid’s schools and faith programmes. This role manages an exciting and varied portfolio of activity including warm direct mail, cold direct mail, telemarketing, digital marketing, film, PR activity and resource creation, as well as some relationship management and partnership work.
To be successful, you’ll need to have:
- A successful track record of working in a direct marketing role, including proven and significant experience of planning and executing multi-faceted supporter development and/or recruitment campaigns (mail and telemarketing in particular).
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable experience of sourcing, managing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers including telemarketing and creative agencies and printers.
- Excellent written and numeracy skills with attention to detail and the ability to use Excel spreadsheets to formulate and analyse complex and substantial budgets and make informed decisions.
