Summary: Ozarks Water Watch is seeking a smart and energetic person to manage a new grant and loan program to assist homeowners in repairing and replacing failing septic systems in Northwest Arkansas. The successful applicant will help us fulfill our mission to protect and improve water quality in the Upper White River Basin, which includes our local drinking water supply, Beaver Lake. This position is full-time and has up to three years of dedicated funding.

Job responsibilities:

§ Work closely with the Program Director to build this new Septic Remediation Grant and Loan Program

§ Manage and coordinate the administration of the Program

§ Promote and advertise the Program to homeowners, installers, and government agency personnel

§ Review homeowner applications and ensure all requirements are met, including eligibility and income status

§ Receive and review all contractor signed invoices

§ Submit reporting documents as needed

§ Obtain and file notarized Deeds of Trust and Promissory Notes

§ Accept loan installments and revolve into future grants and loans

§ File notarized Deeds of release and remitting to homeowner

§ Assist with other activities of OWW as needed

Key qualifications for success:

§ A bachelor’s degree is required with at least two years of work experience

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

§ Experience with financial and cost accounting, financial tracking, and record keeping

§ Ability to analyze and interpret information and communicate results

§ Creativity in marketing information and outreach

§ Excellence and enthusiasm in communications

§ Excellent attention to details

§ Ability to create, organize, and maintain complex files and written documents

§ Ability to be independent and exercise problem-solving skills

§ Excellent time management to meet deadlines
