WSP is currently seeking an EIT for our Infrastructure Management and Planning group. This position is based in our North Vancouver office, reporting to the Director. This position will be responsible to work on projects with a focus on public clients involving water / sanitary / drainage and flood management projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs hydraulic modelling/civil design calculations for sketches, technical evaluations and similar technical work for a variety of projects, as required by assignment;
  • Investigate and undertake various studies and write reports relating to water network, storm water management, and wastewater collection system infrastructure;
  • Assist in Proposal development;
  • Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering or related field from an accredited university;
  • 0-3 years of experience in the planning and design of municipal water, wastewater, storm water management, or water resource; model build & verification and Assistance with model analysis and solution development;
  • Eligibility for registration in EGBC is required;
  • Working knowledge in hydrology and hydraulics applications, the design and analysis of storm water management facilities, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and watercourses systems;
  • Technical experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modelling for storm and sanitary systems or Water system;
  • Useful knowledge of one of the software packages: PCSWMM / INFOSWMM / InfoWorksCS / ICM, WaterCAD, MIKE 11, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS;
  • Previous success in customer services, client management and proposal/report writing is an asset;
  • Strong communication (written and verbal);
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholder; and
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction
