Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Full-time 12 month appointment. The position is renewable contingent upon additional grant funding. The initial appointment will be for one year with continuation for the consecutive years based upon a satisfactory performance review after the initial year and continued grant funding. The successful candidate will analyze large datasets and subsequently write manuscripts while assisting in project coordination. Responsibilities include organizing and analyzing data collected under the Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Monitoring initiative funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency; working with principal investigators to write peer-reviewed manuscripts relevant to coastal wetland ecology, monitoring and management; and assisting in the coordination of the project.
An earned Ph.D. granted within the past three years. Knowledge of statistical analyses of large multivariate datasets. A strong ecological background.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Experience in an area of Great Lakes Research including tributaries and associated habitats (e.g. wetlands). Project management and interpersonal skills.
