Consultant/ Senior Consultant Water Resources Specialist

Our positive reputation in the Water Industry has seen our Water Team win a large quantity of environment-related frameworks for water companies across England and Wales. Therefore, we are seeking to appoint an Environmental Appraisal Water Resources Specialist at a Consultant/ Senior level depending on experience.
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Consultant who has a strong understanding of the links between Hydrology, Ecology and Water Management.
You will provide technical input into a wide range of Water Management projects that will range for example from flood risk assessments, input into EIA chapters and environmental statement reviews, hydrological site surveys and stakeholder engagement. Critical to the role is the understanding between hydrology and ecology to support our work which includes environmental mitigation options and appraisal. You will work effectively with water companies, regulators, planners, developers, design engineers and contractors to achieve positive outcomes for water resources and scheme developments. You will be required to interpret models, review and analyse statistical trends and provide technical input into proposals.
Key competencies, experience, skills and behaviours:
You will have experience working within a Water Consultancy and working directly with UK water companies and/or planners, developer and lead local flood authorities. An understanding of UK Water Policy and legislation is also required.
You will have a degree in a relevant environmentally based subject. You will have excellent team working and communication skills, plus the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
You will need to have a clean full driving licence.
