Responsibilities:

1.Supporting in the design and development of training modules relating the implementation of the programme for community/school representatives and the implementation team
2.Facilitating training and capacity building initiatives of government school teachers to introduce and streamline hygiene curriculum in schools, in coordination with line departments at block and cluster level.
3.Facilitating development of block-wise and cluster-wise hygiene session delivery plans as per weekly schedule and making appropriate use of child-friendly teaching learning materials provided to them. It is expected that the Training and Outreach Coordinator will from time to time bring in new insights on effective nudges, and tools that could be adopted in schools to make the learning more interesting and engaging for children.
4.Coordinating with all key stakeholders of the Education and SBM departments at the block level to facilitate introduction of hygiene curriculum in schools and implementation of the Swachh Vidyalaya Guideline.
5.He/ she should have good experience/knowledge of digital media, developing IEC/BCC relating materials etc.
6.Develop a monthly calendar of field visits/spot checks and undertaking monitoring through spot-checks and joint field visits with District Education department to review progress and provide necessary handholding support on ground in the schools.
7.In close coordination with the Programme coordinators, routinely share project updates with the concerned department and participate in block/district review meetings. Sharing of monthly progress report on training and outreach activities and documentation of process and best practices for dissemination and reporting.
8.In close coordination with the District Education Department, ensure maximum participation of project schools in the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar initiative.
9.Provide technical support to Cluster Facilitators and implementation team to adopt new insights on effective teaching-learning methodologies, and lend in-field support, when necessary.

Required Qualification & Experience:

A degree in digital media, rural development, social sciences, public health, with 1-2 years of experience of working with District functionaries in WASH/Health/Education is required. Prior experience in carrying out trainings with government functionaries is highly valued. Sectoral experience in education, water and sanitation would be preferred. Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and Gujarat required – both written and verbal
