Position Details

The Senior Policy Advisor is responsible for undertaking analysis and developing policy in matters of economic policy and performance in the Victorian water sector.  It is to provide related strategic advice to senior executive management in the Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning, to the Office of the Minister for Water and Victorian government agenciesThe Senior Policy Advisor is responsible for undertaking analysis and developing policy in matters of economic policy and performance in the Victorian water sector.  It is to provide related strategic advice to senior executive management in the Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning, to the Office of the Minister for Water and Victorian government agencies.

Specialist/Technical Expertise 

  • The applicant must have an appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline to policy development such as economics or a related field.  
  • The applicant should have extensive relevant professional work experience in areas such as: 
    • Water policy 
    • Economic regulation 
    • Industry performance 
    • Water resources and water services  
  • The applicant preferably should have experience of:
  • Project and contract management

This is a fixed term position available up until 30 June 2021.
