APPLICABLE FIELDS/DISCIPLINES: Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform facility site planning, sewershed mapping, and flow modeling.
- Research and Review federal, state and local regulatory considerations, project permitting pathway and compliance requirements for wastewater treatment and reclamation projects
- Review and analyze client data to inform treatment facility design criteria / design Basis
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Interface with client planning and facilities staff in addition to regulatory agencies, third party engineering firms, consultants and general contractors
- Develop feasibility study reports and project proposals
- Support permitting efforts (as required)
- Develop client and project presentations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in above or like disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management
- Technical writing experience (writing samples required)
- Experience and proficiency in GIS
- Experience and proficiency in Excel
- Ability and experience to support complex projects in a dynamic work environment, have strong critical thinking capabilities, and have a flexible approach to problem solving
- Willingness to travel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Well-versed in sustainability, green building, or campus resiliency planning
- Knowledge of water resource management
- Experience/proficiency with database management (FileMaker, Access, SQL, etc.)
- Experience with NEPA and environmental permitting
