Job Description Summary
The Department of Civil Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology seeks adjunct faculty to teach two online environmental engineering courses this fall.
We would like for these courses to be taught synchronously online during the listed days and times, below:
1. Green Engineering – 3 credit hours- Tuesdays and Thursdays 8-9:50 am- Starting Sept 8.
This course will provide a foundation for topics in green engineering. This course will teach students an innovative design perspective needed for a fundamental conceptual shift from the current paradigms of design towards a more sustainable system, based on efficient and effective use of materials, water and energy. Prerequisite: General Chemistry I
2. Environmental Engineering Lab- 1 credit hour Wednesdays 8-9:50 am – Starting Sept. 9
This course provides an introduction to environmental engineering concepts with respect to natural and man-made systems of the built environment. Particular emphasis is placed on material and energy balances and principles of thermodynamics and applied chemistry. Prerequisite: General Chemistry I
Minimum Education: Required Master’s degree
Preferred Education: Doctoral degree
