Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Remote Sensing applied to Conservation Ecology via EURAXESS

The selected candidate will carry out the research plan entitled “Effects of hydrological connectivity on the fisheries productivity of floodplain lakes in the Amazona”, which is part of the project titled “Balancing BiOdiversity CoNservation with Development in Amazonian WetlandS”, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation-FAPESP (grant number 2018/12083-1). The fellow will based in Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research in São José dos Campos, state of São Paulo. The research component of responsibility of the selected Postdoc will address the following study question: How does hydrological connectivity affect the fisheries productivity of floodplain lakes?

The selected candidate will produce scientific manuscripts for submission to publication in international journals. Because the necessary data has already been collected, it is expected that the selected candidate will produce two scientific articles. Details on the project on www.bonds-amazonia.org.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
