Description

The Department of Geography seeks a postdoctoral researcher in Critical Geospatial Analysis. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal. The successful applicant will be a core member of the first cohort of the Critical Geospatial Analysis Lab, headed by Luis Alvarez Leon, while also contributing intellectually to the Geography Department and the College.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or be in the final stages of a Ph.D. program in Geography, or a closely related field. This position requires demonstrated proficiency in remote sensing and geospatial analysis as well as critical perspectives/approaches in human geography. The principal tasks of this position include research incorporating remote sensing and geospatial analysis with critical human geography, grant writing, project management, and mentorship of undergraduate students.
