About the Position: Developing and conducting hydrologic-hydraulic engineering studies, analyses, evaluations, and designs associated with water resources development of major river basins. Senior engineer with expertise in hydrologic numerical modeling, especially multi-dimensional and hydrodynamic applications. Serves on independent technical review (ITR) teams, and quality assurance (QA) teams. Conducts hydrologic-hydraulic engineering studies, for complex multipurpose projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts hydrologic-hydraulic engineering studies, analyses, evaluations, and designs associated with water resources development of major river basins.
  • Develops specialized flood control design solution improvements for spillways, dams, and levee flood control structures.
  • Makes hydrologic and hydraulic design evaluations of spillway design, freeboard, reservoir systems analyses, storage allocation, and reservoir operation.
  • Document project performances as part of periodic inspections and to ensure project operation efficiency.
  • Prepares various technical hydrology and hydraulic reports on reconnaissance, survey reviews, hydrology and hydraulic design memorandums, and flood plain information reports.
