Our Water Group is currently seeking an Assistant Water Planner to join their Surface Water Planning team until 30 June 2021.

As the Assistant Water Planer, you will provide planning support to enable the delivery of the NSW Government’s water planning process. You will communicate with stakeholders and provide support to contribute to the development and implementation of consultation and water planning activities. You will also prepare briefs and discussion papers, and undertake research and analysis to identify emerging water policy and planning issues to inform business decision making. This is a key role which will assist with reviewing unregulated water sharing plans and finalising the water resource plans.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you liaise with key stakeholders to support the development and implementation of water resource plans. You will also be a collaborative team member with experience identifying policy and planning issues, and enabling resolution where possible. It is essential that you have strong research and analysis skills with a high attention to detail.
