Expert for WASH and Livelihood

The postition is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of 12 months. Employment location will be Yumbe, Uganda (UG).
As Expert for WASH and Livelihood you will support and advise the project leadership in developing and implementing an emergency project for South Sudanese refugees in Yumbe.
Your responsibilities
Provide technical guidance on WASH and Livelihood interventions in an emergency context
Support the Head of Project with the project implementation
Assume budget responsibility
Ensure the timely submission of fund requests and work plans
Supervise the project staff in Yumbe
Contribute to comprehensive project reporting
Support the financial management in the project
Control inventories at the project site
Ensure an effective coordination with UNHCR, OPM, Local District and other relevant stakeholders in Yumbe
Your profile
A university degree in civil engineering, water management or a comparable specialised qualification suitable to the position
At least 3 years of project management experience in the field of WASH and livelihood, preferably in the region
Experience with working in emergency situations
Mental and physical resilience
Excellent coordination and organisational skills, including ability to work under pressure
Co-operation and team skills
Very good command of English, German skills are an asset
