Our Water Group is currently seeking a Senior Hydrologist to join their Water Allocations team.

As the Senior Hydrologist, you will oversee  the development, documentation and implementation of surface water assessments that direct the allocation of available water to water users. Innovative use of contemporary information systems and planning models, will also underpin the high level technical hydrologic advice you provide to support the policy and planning functions of the Department.

About You

You will have extensive knowledge and experience in the strengths and limitations of integrated hydrologic and/or hydraulic models and data, and in critically evaluating analytical work. You will be well organised and an excellent communicator – both written and spoken.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in one or more of the following:

  • water resources management modelling
  • catchment hydrology
  • wetland hydrology
  • statistics in hydrology
  • application of spatial analytical techniques
